Two phases of remodeling vastly improved structure and finishes of these two bathrooms, both intended to showcase the exquisite tile made at Clay Squared to Infinity in the arts district of NE Minneapolis. The third floor bathroom was an attic space with sloped ceilings, so the challenge was to correct the old out-of-square framing into flat, level, and plumb surfaces so that tile could be correctly installed. The centerpiece is a custom stained-glass window that serves as a shower niche and source for daylight. The main floor bath was on the verge of falling into the basement thanks to previous “remodels”, so we shored up the structure, leveled and squared framing, re-purposed a pocket door, and installed custom cabinetry and tile.
